Belmont is about 18 minutes down US-101 from our South San Francisco yard, so the deadhead line on a Ralston Avenue job is short and we can show you the arithmetic. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin added on top of the operator rate. You are dealing with the company that owns the coach, employs the driver and does its own maintenance.
CPUC TCP 0037963 · USDOT 3126263 · commercial auto liability on every coach · certificates of insurance issued same business day.
Our own vehicles, photographed by our crew. Not stock photography, not a partner's coach.

Road miles are measured from Twin Pines Park and times are typical off-peak. Belmont is a hill town on the west side of El Camino Real and a flat commercial strip on the east side, and which side you are on decides what we send.
| Trip | What it usually looks like | Miles | Drive | Best vehicle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ralston Hall Mansion weddingsRalston Ave up to the Notre Dame de Namur campus | Guest runs between the San Mateo and Burlingame hotel blocks and the mansion, with the climb up Ralston built into the schedule so the ceremony does not start with a bus still on the hill. | 3–10 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Notre Dame de Namur campus events and athleticsRalston Ave, Notre Dame Ave, US-101 | Team travel, admitted-student days and commencement overflow parking. Coaches carry luggage bays deep enough for a full roster of gear, and the driver stays with the group for away trips. | 5–120 | varies | 56-pax coach |
| Twin Pines Park community events and concertsTwin Pines Ln, Ralston Ave, city lots | Park events run out of parking before they run out of people. A shuttle from the flat-side lots keeps cars off the hill roads and gets neighbours to stop calling the city about it. | 1–4 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |
| SFO group transfersUS-101 north, twelve miles | Close enough that a two-hour flight delay costs a short hold rather than an extra hour on the clock. We meet arriving groups on the commercial curb with the tail number already tracked. | 12 | 20 min | 56-pax coach |
| Peninsula employer commuter shuttlesBelmont and Hillsdale Caltrain, Industrial Way, US-101 | Fixed morning and evening loops between the Caltrain platforms and the office parks on the bayside strip, run on a contract rate with the same drivers on the route and a live tracking link for the workplace team. | 2–8 | 10–15 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| San Francisco event and game nightsUS-101 north to SoMa and Mission Bay | Chase Center, Oracle Park and company parties in the city, scheduled so the coach is loaded and moving before the southbound backup builds behind the ballgame. | 25 | 35 min | 56-pax coach |
| Half Moon Bay and coast day tripsRalston Ave to CA-92 west over Crystal Springs | Beach days and coastal offsites where the driver is briefed on the CA-92 grade, the turnouts a 45-foot coach can actually use, and the fog that closes in on the return leg. | 16 | 30 min | 56-pax coach |
| School and youth sports travelCarlmont High, Belmont-Redwood Shores district, Ralston Middle | Field trips, playoff travel and band moves. Every driver is a W-2 employee in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, which is the part districts ask about before they ask about price. | 5–150 | varies | 56-pax coach |

Every unit below is titled to Umbrella Global Bus, maintained in our own shop and driven by our own employees. The vehicle you confirm is the vehicle that shows up.

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Belmont" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.
| Question | Umbrella Global Bus | Booking marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the vehicle? | We do. Titled, insured and maintained by Umbrella. | A third-party operator assigned after you pay, often unnamed until day-of. |
| Who is driving? | Our employee, in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, known to our dispatch. | Whoever the assigned operator sends. |
| What is the price built from? | Our operator rate, itemized: hours, deadhead from South San Francisco, tolls, gratuity. | An operator's rate plus the platform's margin, typically 20–40%. |
| Who answers at 5:40 a.m. when the bus is late? | The dispatcher who assigned the driver, with the coach on GPS. | A call center that has to phone the operator. |
| Certificate of insurance for a venue or employer? | Issued by us, usually same business day. | Requested from the operator through the platform. |
| Can I track the bus? | Yes, a live tracking link for every trip. | Depends on the operator. |
We publish ranges so you can budget before you talk to anyone. The quote you get back is itemized to the hour and the mile and holds after booking unless the trip itself changes.
Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. Ralston Hall guest loops, park events, Caltrain connectors, SFO runs.
Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.
Daily Caltrain and office-park loops for Belmont employers. Monthly invoicing, PO-based billing and net terms.
Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.
A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Belmont typically runs $750–$875 with the driver included. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary. Our yard is only about 18 minutes north on US-101, so the deadhead portion of a Belmont quote is one of the smaller ones we write.
Yes, and we do it regularly for weddings and campus events. We normally run a 24-35 passenger minibus for the guest loop because the grade and the turnaround at the top favour a shorter wheelbase, and we time the loops so the last one lands before the ceremony rather than during it.
San Francisco (SFO, about 12 road miles), Oakland (OAK, about 28 miles across the San Mateo Bridge) and San Jose (SJC, about 26 miles south). SFO is close enough that we can absorb a delayed flight with a hold instead of billing a second hour.
Yes. Fixed loops between Belmont or Hillsdale Caltrain and the bayside office parks run on a contract rate, with the same drivers assigned to the route, monthly invoicing and a live GPS link so your workplace team can see the vehicle instead of phoning the driver.
The operator. We own the Van Hool coaches, the minibuses and the Sprinters, employ the drivers, and run dispatch and the maintenance shop ourselves from South San Francisco under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. No online booking marketplace sits between you and the vehicle.
Yes. We issue certificates of insurance directly, usually the same business day, naming the district, the campus or the venue as certificate holder. Districts that need additional insured wording or a specific limit should send us the requirement and we will match it.
